Default power seats

i have a problem with my power seats ,does not function at all , i have been told there in a lock out mode ? help please , its a 1996 seville sts , thankyou. chris

No lock out mode for seats. Start by checking fuse.

is it for both seats? or just one? but yes check fuses first, that is the most likely reason why they don't work.

Consult owners manual for location of fuse. I recall it is a big maxi fuse that contols the seats, both sides.

The original poster ismy father i own the car 96 cadillac sts......both seats dont work at all ...we checked the fuses there all good ..even checked the voltage going to the switches is good ...there is a service airbag light on ...im thinking that might not allow the seats to be used ......please help
