Default Power antenna failure

It never rains but it pours. Last week I hit a deer with my Seville. Destroyed the grille, bent the hood, broke some headlight brackets. Got that fixed, but then the cupholder in the console popped out and wouldn't stay in. Fixed that (there's a little metal pin on the back of the mechanism. This pin pops into an "S" shaped plastic piece when you slide it back. The plastic supporting the little pin broke. J-B Kwik Weld saved the day). Then the cruise control started clicking whenever you turn the engine off. Still working on that. Now the power antenna is broken and won't go up or down (fortunately it stuck in the UP position). Is there a repair I can do myself, or am I destined to buy a new Power Antenna Unit?

Typically cord in antenna breaks, and motor runs all the time mostly going down. If it going inop. coincides with your meeting with Bambi it could be just a blown fuse. I'm not sure antenna parts are still available I know original style antenna has been discontinued by GM.

Depending on the dealer and if they really care you can get a kit to fix your antenna.
And BTW...Its not your cruise control that is ratcheting.
Pop the hood and you will see it and hear it at the same time. Very easy part to replace. ISC or TPS motor ????? DAMN I always get those two mixed up !
