I cannot access the trunk on my '99 SLS. The buttons on the key fob and inside the car do not work nor can I open the trunk with my key. Yes I have checked the valet switch inside the glove compartment is off. When I press the key fob or interior trunk release button I can hear a click but the trunk does not open.

Can the trunk be manually opened through the back seat so I can determine if the trunk release mechanism needs to be replaced?

Any assistance with resolving this issue is greatly appreciated. It would be nice to have access to my trunk again.
