97 Seville Codes Ready to give in!
My 97 Seville STS is about to ruin me. 2 dtc codes are p1375 and p1350. 2 months later, I have installed both crank sensors, cam sensor, ignition module, plugs, plug wires, had the computer flashed, ohmed the wires per Alldata. The codes have now returned. When I atempt to clear them with a scanner or the dash information center the engine lights comes back on immediately. Idle goes up and down, hard starting, and hesitates on acceleration. I dont have a clue where to turn next. Its a beautiful car if I could just get this figured out. So I really dont want to torch it!!(kidding). Please, someone has got to have an idea where to look. Im getting desperate, and I want my car back on the road. I just cant afford to drop it off at the dealer and say call me when you find it. Thank you in advance.
Engine grounds. Ignition module or PCM, Ignition modules don't have a high failure rate. I would try one from a salvage yard 93-99 are the same. PCM is programmed to the car so it's not returnable, used will still need reprogrammed. If you are going used, find your parts off a wreck. Odds are better car was running prior to crash that sent it there.
I did get a used module with coils from a wrecked 96 seville. Tried both the used module and swapping the coils. No help. Now has a new aftermarket module. Still same problem. I will try and get the PCM out of that wreck and try that. Im not sure were all the grounds are, but I am aware of one by the PCM and a ground wire on the ignition module plate. If I get a used PCM how is it programmed to my seville? Only by a dealer? thanks for the help.
