i recently recieved a 94 seville sts free of charge , nice car runs great, needs a little paint and other small things but overall a great car and you cant beat free, but i have a bit of a problem.

it was sitting for a while, expired tags and needs emissions, but the service engine soon light is on. a buddy of mine hooked up his obd and the code it shot out said "fuel pump open circut". he reset the codes and re tested, right away the same one popped out. i know it wont pass emissions if the engine light is on, and i would like to fix myself if possible. i am pretty mech savvy, and would like to know if someone has had this before, or if there is any advice on what can be done without having to take it in to a shop i dont really trust. please let me know. thanks.

 

upon searching around a little i found a way to pull up the trouble codes on the dashboard and the following codes came up current.

P020
A011

these came up in history but i dont think i need to worry about them but here they are just in case they may help figure out what i should do.

S071
