i recenlty bought a cadillac sls and the odometer reads 55,xxx miles i had it for about one month and it recently started to vibratewhen i start it up it works fine when when i change to {D} or any gear it starts to vibrate like if i were pressing gas and brake at the same time like wanting to take off if i take the brake off, i drive it and the vibration stops but when i go around 40MPH it starts to vibrate again like if it cant go faster and i press on the gas and i get this knock on the bottom of the engine like if something were hitting it i just changed the sparkplugs n oil also brakes, the rotors are fine i just want to know what this is... any suggestions?

 

no way to tell for sure until you look inside, but sounds like you wana get that checked asap

 

i would get it checked out. the knocking might be somthing with the rods and pistons. either way, it is no bueno.

 

come to think about it, you might need motor mounts. they are kinda inexpensive, if you own an engine hoist. if not, it could be expensive depending where you go.

I am new to this group.

I got a 20 yr old cadillac recently. 1995 cadillac seville STS. The car is running fine but in the display board it shows service ride control. But I don't see any problem while driving and have been driving the car for the last 4 months.

Is it ok to ignore this problem?

Please do suggest me. I am really new about this car.
