1992 Fan Problems

1992 Fan Problems
Car has 96K; been sitting for 3 years; to be on the safe side; removed radiator, cleaned & replaced thermostat & temperature sensor.
Problem: electric fans will not engage when temps reach 195+; panel states engine overheating. Fans kicked on one time; heard it could be a relay, but my manual does not have a schematic & I have no clue where to look.
Any ideas if this might be the problem & if so, any idea where the relays are located? Could be a bad corroded connection, since it has been sitting for so long.

RE: 1992 Fan Problems
The fans come on at approx 225 degrees, not 195. If the system is not completely full, an air pocket can form which will delay fan operation. Remove radiator cap, engine stone cold and off. Coolant should overflow from the radiator if full. If not, start car and hold at a fast idle, 1500/1800RPM till the level drops, then without lowering the idle top off the coolant. Then reinstall cap while still at a high idle. Best to do with a helper. The high idle helps to purge the air. These cars run between 205 to 230 normal coolant temp.

Trying this Again
Have not worked on this one for years now: Status!!!
1. This has been a constant problem: turn on switch; states; very low fuel, trunk open; both are fine.
a. Removed instrument panel; removed all electrical plugins & blew out with air; reinstalled, same scenario.
2. Do not have an OBD 1 scanner; going to borrow one & see what happens
3. Fuel pump now does not work; poured some gas in throttle body; started right up; did this 4 times, ran fine for a few seconds. Checked the fuses to make sure FP was getting power.
Will let you know the outcome.
Any ideas or experiences on these instrument panels; are they are known problem? This is my son's car from his GrandMa & only has 96K carefully driven miles & would like to keep it.
Thanks Tater50
