window motor
Hey my back left window in my 94 fleetwood has never worked since i bought the car. I pulled up a wire diagram on it and found i have power through the switch. I wanted to know where is the negative and positive post on the window motor so i can put a test light on it and see if its getting power all the way to the motor, or where im supposed to touch the motor to get a light? also if i use a led test light that i made will 12 volts pop it? it has like a 330 ohm resistor on it.

as to your home made light, some LED lights activate with less than 1 volt. When testing, you need to see if you got the whole 12-14 volts dc at the component. when checking voltages, keep in mind that the frame (any metal part that is not insulated) of the car is the 2nd wire .. GROUND. touch the 2nd lead of the meter to the frame/door panel. . |
