Overheating Brand New Radiator
#3
^^^ X2, definitely check the thermostat, it might be stuck closed. Does it overheat while moving, or only when stopped with the engine running? Have you checked the engine timing? (If may run hot if the timing is too advanced.)
It is blowing coolant out of the radiator cap? Try a new cap; if it's old the spring may be too weak to hold at normal operating pressure. If both the thermostat and the cap are okay but you're still getting coolant out of the cap, there could be a blown head gasket letting high-pressure combustion gases into the cooling system, which can force out coolant. (Hopefully from the cap, and not a crack in your new radiator.)
