Question Slip?

When I’m sitting at a traffic light, foot on the brake and slowly pull away my truck doesn’t react right away. It’s strange. I hear the motor revving and we should be moving but nothing. Then all the sudden “thump” and off we go. Has anyone else experienced this? Is normal with the AWD system? It doesn’t do all the time, seems like every couple of months or so.

Check the trans fluid lately? Could be low, or may need servicing.
Has it been doing this for long, or is it something that just started all of a sudden?
Do you happen to notice it doing it more when hot or cold?
Does it seem to do it most when you are on an incline?
It's NOT an AWD issue...it's a transmission issue.

I noticedit last fall. It does it when it' hot but not eveyrtime. I cannot reproduce it. It's very strange I thought was rearended from the jolt it gave when I started to move away from the light.

It's never on an incline. Just at ramdom traffic lights.
