Has anyone encountered the problem with trying to connect your trailer cord to the Gm trailer coupler? Becuase of the design of the Trailer hitch cover. The plastic piece that you hand the cover onto seems to get in the way of raising the trailer input cover to receive the cord. Has anyone figured out a modification for this? Cadillac dealership today said they dont know what they can do to correct it. Suggested I go to a trailer hitch company. Please advise. Thanks.

 

YES! Same issue - the tab that is meant to secure the trailer wiring harness gets in the way because the door/cover does not go up high enough. The clearance between the cover and the bumper is not enough. Terrible design, and based on the response from my dealer, the number of replies you received, etc. I don't think anyone uses their ESV to tow.
