2011 front end alignment?

2011 front end alignment?
Does anyone know when you should have the front end alignment on a 2011 Cadillac Esc. ESV. I had a 2007 and I had to buy new tires because it wasn't aligned at the proper time. We thought maybe around 4,000 miles but I called the dealer and he said "that was stupid". Any suggestions? Thanks Edi in VA
