just bought a 2018 Escalade, it's a 6.2L, I think that is the only engine available for my year since I was looking up products for it.

I see there is severe gear lube, is that necessary? What tools would I need to change it? Kinda confused. The same lube goes in the front, 3 pints? This is not as straightforward as engine oil or transmission fluid, got all kinds of answers doing searches, any input welcomed and appreciated, thanks!
