I recently purchased an older Escalade 2007 RWD in Tampa and this SUV was sold and advertised as a "Platinum" model and had the platinum letters were on the panel above the glove box. This is "not" an ESV model this is just the standard base escalade. I was told Cadillac only sold Platinum models in the ESV model and not the standard is that correct?

Someone said the car lot probably put the "Platinum" cover on the dashboard to upsell the SUV. Any help would be much appreciated. I am trying to find out if I was scammed or if this escalade is or is not a platinum. Again its not the ESV model.

Hi,
The platinum edition exist in the short (standard) models too.
If your car is a platinum you will have at least these options:

- leather, real wood and aluminum dash
- embroidered leather seats with the cadillac logo
- automatic running board
- second row head rest dvd player
If not you don't have a platinum edition
