i think i see a name tag on the tree guy.

hard to tell in the pic, but it looks like a $2,000 paint job
and it is not SOLD yet? why is it that no one else has jumped on it?

RE: Another Picture

It was just listed yesterday. Does anyone know a freon recharge would cost for a car this age?

Thanks.

RE: Another Picture

dont simply re-charge freon. take her to a A/C guy and have new seals.
if the system leaked, the seals are gonne. if you simply refill it, i can bet $$$
that it will leak out in little if no time at all.

how about considering a convertion to 134? inquire with the A/C guy on
cost difference. you are probably looking at $300 - $500 not including the
compressor if that is dead. there are lots of these guys in the desert valleys.
that would NOT be a DEALER COSTED JOB --

IMO, for the same money, i stay with the old freon in either case, you are looking
at NEW SEALS and other parts like condenser, etc. last time i looked into it,
FREON was at becoming a SURPLUS item as less and less cars use it.
problem is that only an EPA cert guy can buy it or use it - but competition is
still healthy in this country.
