My interior dome/map lights do not come on when I open the driver's side door. This can be a potential problem since this doesn't cut off retained accessory power as it should.

My question is where is the pinswitch that turns on the lights?

if it does not come on then its normally closed therefore it goes into rap mode

does any other door turn on the light
most of these are now built into the driver door lock

 

Passenger side works as it should. Just the driver's side doesn't turn on lights or turn off RAP. Reacts as if the door wasn't opened.

 

the driver side door actualor controls it
the part when the door closes looks like a hook
check when you open the door there is no broken wires in the plastic conduit

 

Found the issue. One of the plugs connecting to the latch was disconnected by someone prior to me getting the car. All fixed. Thanks!!
