The owner's manual says ask your Cad dealer, but I will ask you: what is the manufacturer and model name for the refrigerant used in the 1997 Eldorado base? I want to track this down. ....

 

It looks like R134a. Any problems getting this done?

 

Very new to this; apologies for not knowing what I am doing. Recently purchased 85 Eldo; very anxious & nervous I made a bad decision. It runs beautiful, handles well, & body in great shape. I think what attracted me to it cause it reminded me of the best car I ever owned which was 85 Riviera. The Eldo has a handful of minor (I hope) issues. It didn't come with an owner's manual, but there was an update to the manual giving instructions for this exotic additive to the coolant mix. I can only assume past owners complied for the car to be this old & in good shape (135K). Just hope I'm doing this reply correctly & will also be able to clean helpful hints. My thanks to those in the know.
