I'm considering the purchase of a 2001 cadillac deville in excellent condition with 130K miles. However, it has several problems which may keep me from doing so. In addition to the check engine light staying on, the ABS, Brake, and other lights do not go off while driving. Also, "check engine coolant" displays and lastly, even though the lights, channels, and mode indicator buttons work on the radio, there is no volume. Not even when the mute button is on. This sounds like a big lot of problems and I'm not a mechanic..Therefore, I'm going to the forum for help in determining whether or not to invest more money into the $3500 price tag..many thanks from the bluegrassstate

 

A 2001 deville DTS is only worth around 2,000$ if it's in mint condition, and that doesn't sound like it's in near good enough condition to warrant a 3,500$ tag
