I just bought a 01 cadillac Devile custom gold edtiton by Dimmitt Cadillac,Do i have to run 93 octane if i ran 87 what would it do to the car.I bought the car 11-09 ive been running 87 will this hurt my car.

Has any ever herd of the Custom Gold Edition by Dimmitt Caddillac if so what is different about these cars??

 

I'd say consult the owners manual. For sure you do not need 93. Your engine has a lower compression ratio than earlier Northstars but I still think 91 would be the minumum requirement. Running gasoline with too little octane in a high compression engine will lead to detonation and engine damage in addition to not providing the designed perfomance level of the engine.

As far as the Custom Gold Edition by Dimmitt Cadillac it is basically a standard car with gold emblems and a continnental kit I believe put on by the dealer.

 

you'll only save yourself about five dollars per tank of gas, it's not even worth considering in the long run.
