Default Key removal

I have a 2002 DTS with 161000 miles. Car operated normally today went back out to car and suddenly the following problems have occurred:

Can't unlock/lock with remote or door buttons (press lock on fob, horn does sound)
Trunk won't open with remote or button
Gas door won't open with button
Map/dome lights don't come on
After inserting key, can crank car and drive normally... all other functions work normally as well...however, when turning car off, key will not turn past accessory position and can't remove key.

Help!!

Ok...found the problem....faulty RIM. However, now, I have nothing on in the car. Insert key, car won't crank, no display on dash whatsoever...car is totally dead. Battery is good, reading 12.2 volts.

Yeah, I'm out of panic mode. Replaced IGN SW fuse and back to normal. Replacing RIM when part comes in.

At first I thought it might have been the valet button in the glove box

My door controls don't work, checked door module fuse, good. the other doors work, windows, heat except unlocking. All three lock with power button , but not unlock. Driver door won't operate windows, locks, and seat presets, but the heat works. Gosh any ideas.
