Does anyone know what a "spec car" is? Any different from a "program car" or demo? My 06 dts that I bought in Palm Springs in Mar 07 was a "spec car" w/ 26 mi on it, used by a Sr GM exec for a golf tourney up there. Thought it was a good deal, pretty loaded up at $11,000 off sticker. Any ideas? Thanks! Bob

 

Not sure what it means but a least we know why the company is in the state it is...let some executive have a top end car for 26 miles to play golf then cut it's price by $11,000. Sounds like an excellent business formula for profitabilty !! Meanwhile the poor workers who actually make the cars are getting laid off almost every day this past month.
