Need a replacement remote for 98 DeVille.Dealer saying $166.00. Sounds steep. E-bay sells them for $20-$30 but dealer says they won't program. Any suggestions (cheap ones)?

 

most gm dealer, sales people have extras. if you have a friend, that works at the dealer, they might be able to help you out. they will need the key fob number..... its on the back of the fob, but, it is not 1 or 2.....lol...... its probobly a 6,7 diget number.

Even if they would, they charge about $50-60 easily. Such a rip off! I owned several Lincolns and Ford never charged to program remotes. Would even talk you through it over the phone.
