I GOT THIS CODE ALL OF THESUDDEN, WHAT SHOULD I CHECK?
WHAT DOES IT MEAN??
I KNOW IT IS DISTRIBUTOR SIGNAL INTERRUPT
WHAT WOULD BE THE CAUSE AND HOW DO I CHECK IT OUT ????

 

All right guys one at a time all these responses are going to take me hours to read through,

you get the code. At start? when hot? etc.. etc ... etc ...

the typical issue is the ignition control module, connectors to the distributor,
or a failing distributor itself.

DETAILS .. DETAILS .. DETAILS ...

or simply go the parts house and buy the whole assy and clean the connectors
and hope for the best ..

hard to start when already warm.
It has been like that since I bought her.
Replaced fuel pump.
Runs very good besides the starting problem
wonder if it is related to the code.?

no offense taken. simply needed details to give you our best shot.

clear the codes and see if it repeats AFTER it warms up.

if it codes not when its cold, but when its warm, i be suspecting
the ignition control module

what if the code does not re appear.?
She still starts hard when warm.?

 

Lets wait and see what jumps out.
I believe the I.C.M. controls functions of spark'g and fuel injecting.

 

Update
went to start car today and got nothing
I have instrument lights but car is not even cranking.
No codes either.

 

You state engine is slow to start. Does it turn over slow or turn over for a longer time than normal, before it starts? P053 will not cause car to not turn over. Check battery cable connections at both battery and engine.
