need some info please about carter carbs and timing and points setings
cant figure out y it runs so rich

Hey there eye poppin: When your carb runs rich it will usually mean that your float setting is too high. You can pop the top off to get at the float chamber and hold the float arm with a screw driver and bend the float down a tad. This will allow the needle valve to be closed sooner, thus run leaner. You can bend it too much and have the reverse effect because a lean engine will sometimes run too hot. Hope this helps.
