Have a 99 DeVille and received this code. P1258 this is not listed in the book. Anyone have any idea what it might be?

P1258 - Engine Coolant Overtemperature - above 268°F - Protection Mode Active

 

ThanksKatzmans Caddy, that is what showed on the dash, but couldn't find the code in my code reader.

 

OK, don't know if you are aware but the N* has a limp home mode when the engine overheats so that you can safely drive the car home or to a shop. That's what happened. Power is reduced but the car will still make it about 50 miles or so..
