Default 91 Deville trunk lock cover

Hey there,
Last summer I picked up a 91 Deville from a friend of my step-fathers. He goes to police auctions and picks up cars, fixes them up, and sells them pretty cheap. Its been a great vehicle, no problems thus far.
Unfortunately, it didnt have a wreath or trunk lock emblem/cover. Ive tried out ebay but apparently the one I bought didn't fit. I have a wreath from that one but I cant seem to find an emblem that will fit over my trunk key hole. The one thats on there now is just the base piece missing the part that flips up to the left. It has only 1 hole, where the emblem is held on. The one I bought on ebay has a screw or rivet hole in the top left and bottom right. I cant find one for a 91 that doesnt have those 2 holes so Im starting to wonder if this guy just glued the base piece on from a different model or if its just very rare to find a 91 deville trunk lock cover.

Any help on finding one would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

P.s. How much do you think a black paint job would run me. Nothing fancy but I dont want something thats going to crack or chip off after a few months. Its currently champagne.

If you can't get it from ebay or a junkyard unfortunatly your only other option is the dealer, and thats if they even have it. As far as a paint job, the price depend on a lot of things. Since your changing colors, all the door jams must be painted and the trim removed. You can get a cheap paint job, but itll crack and peel off, good paint job-4,000-6,000. If your paint is in decent condition you can clay bar and compound it, any bad spots can be color sanded, all easy to do, and it will look like new.

Hey Jim: As for the chrome parts go to www.usapartssupply.com They have a great selection of the crests, meddallions, etc for caddies. You can order their catalogue that covers your year of caddy or order online. About the black paint, if you can find a private auto painter you should be able to get it done for $1500-2000...... If it's an at home guy just make sure he has a fairly decent spray booth or you will have dust specks in you paint.A few you don't mind but not too many. Good luck.
