RE: 88 cadillac deville
Gonna need a little more info.
What is it doing when it won't start?? Does it sound normal?
Are you able to check if it's gettin fuel and spark?
Is it all milky under the oil cap?
Those motors really don't respond well to overheating.
Just beware if you ran it hot enough to stall it out, it may be cooked.

Then i would start with the computer system for trouble codes.
Even though this may not be where the problem lies, it should not be overlooked.
Pulling the plugs, looking them over and checking compression would be the next step.

Quick and easy?
Take it to the dealer then go home, crack open a beer and wait for the phone call.

If you need help you need to take some time and fill in all the blanks.
Otherwise we get this bouncing around "Try this- i did already- well what happened when you did-nothing". And so on.
I already listed the diagnostic steps i would take to solve this mystery.
Maybe someone can chime in with an easier way??
Good luck
