Hi all, anyone know what the deal is with the 93 front struts? Seems we need new struts on my dad's car; The old one's have female connectors in the top of them and I am told they are called "electronic" struts; The car has male plugs coming out the wiring harness that plugs into the top of the struts. The problem I am having is that I cannot seem to find any replacement struts with the female connectors in the top of them.

 

The speed sensitive suspension struts were discontinued years ago. The is a tsb that discribes how to disable warning lamp.

 

Ok, I see; What was the purpose of them being speed sensitive? Do you know if anyone makes a speed sensitive replacement strut?

 

The Speed Sensitive Suspension system was designed to adjust the stiffness of the strut(s) to adjust the comfort of the suspension for the occupants of the vehicle based on the vehicles speed. I wish the still manufactured them.
