1988 DeVille and ABS

How can I tell if my 88 DeVille has ABS (antilock brakes)? I know there should be a light in the information center, but there is the possibility that the bulb is burned out. Any other easy way to tell other than taking a spin in a rain-soaked parking lot? Thanks!
Happy New Year

RE: 1988 DeVille and ABS

Hey T-Man: When you are braking fairly hard with the ABS system you should feel a pulse on the brake pedal. You may even feel the pedal come back up a bit as the system eases the pedal back a bit. You can also look under the front of the car and see a toothed ring and a round sensor unit mounted on the ring, which will be just inboard of the brake assembly. You should notice an electrical type cable running to the sensor. Happy driving.
