Default '03 Deville owner rough idleing

I have an '03 Deville it is great it has about 34,000 miles and lately its idle is getting real low and the car starts dropping with car wanting to turn off. I replaced the fuel filter but no change. it basically does it after the engine is warm. does anyone have any ideas as to what can cause this?
Thanks, Edgar

Hey Edgar: I am amazed that you would need any work done on your car at only 34,000. The idle thing might be associated with the temp. sensor. Not that much money and quite easy to change. It could also be some sort of vacuum issue, EGR valve, map sensor, etc. Caddy's are fun aren't they?? Go over all your connections and see that they are all tight and that will be a start. Good luck.

Yes these caddy's are fun!! I felt like i was on top of the world until this started happening. It kind of made me wonder. but i do love it. I am going to start by changing that temp sensor and see if it makes a difference. do you think maybe it has been bad gas??

Hey Edgar: The plugs are usually changed every 20-30,000 miles which for most people is once a year. If you do a lot of short drives in traffic change them sooner. Tune ups are done at that interval so you can do it all at once. Enjoy your ride......
