The lateral accelerometer detects lateral acceleration of the vehicle chassis, which is zero when the vehicle is being driven in a straight-line ahead. When the vehicle begins to swerve due to slippery road conditions, high speed cornering or erratic driving situations, the lateral accelerometer sends a signal to the ESC electronic control unit (ECU). At the same time, the Yaw rate sensor detects the rotational speed of the vehicle around the horizontal axis caused by swerving motion and sends the signal to the ECU. The steering wheel sensor detects the steering angle and it discrepancy with the actual direction the vehicle is going. Based on the sensor inputs, the ECU applies braking to the appropriate front wheel and/or reduces engine power to pull the vehicle out of the swerve and prevent loss of control.

C codes are general trouble codes and usually fixed by replacing user servicable parts,
reconfiging the module or fixing a broken wires.

in other words, it prevents the car from tipping over ...

if your ABS module has failed, they are around $900 ...

I would think your car's ABS is under warranty .. no?
dont ignore
