Service Stability System

Service Stability System
I have a 2003 Cadillac CTS with 36,000 miles. When I am on the road, I feel a tugging on the steering wheel. Stability System Engaged appears on the console randomly. I recently started observing a vibration on the brake pedal when braking. Cruise control shuts off when in use. Eventually, Service Stability System appears on the console. How do I determine what my problem is and how do I resolve it? Other than this issue, I have had no problems with this car.

RE: Service Stability System
YIKES!
From the old Caddy Forum, everyone said change the Steering Wheel Position Sensor..
Mine is a 03 with 64K and the same problem, feels like a ghost is tapping the breaks.
I took it to Caddy Service and advised what I read here...No dice, they changed the RT RR Hub Nearing, no luck, the Electronic Break Module, no luck, the Power Control Module, no luck...finally they changed the Steering Wheel position sensor....
FIXED!
there are some other causes, but the one that seems most widely the culprit is the SWPS...
Good Luck...
