Default Exhaust

Has anyone ever taken the resonator out of the exhaust? I was wondering what it would sound like with just the mufflers.

Take 'em out. If it's screwed up it's a good excuse to check out magnaflo or borla.

willyfastz -

I would imagine the sound will be rough at best without the resonator - it not only makes the exhaust 'sound' a certain way - it also helps balance the sound from the engine -

But, if you are going to tear apart the exhaust anyway - pull the resonator - why not...

I'll probably leave it alone, I don't want the car loud, I have a Camaro for that. I'll probably just do a air filter and put it on the dyno for a little tune and leave it alone.
