08 CTS 3900 miles 263 hp 3.6 engine, have engine vibration at idle up to 1200 before it goes away,this is setting still in park. this causes extreme vibration of both rear tail pipes. dealer swears this is normal, I don't think so. anyone else had this problem???

 

Simple! compare a like vehicle. Does it feel the same or not?

 

Thanks carnut.... already thought of that.they tell me the 09 does not vibrate.they picked another 08 and it did. proves nothing other than they now have two with the same problem. mine vibration is so bad that at a stoplite in drive the tailpipes rattle so bad, it sounds like a small air compessor pumping thank satellite440

 

I must have spoke with the right person yesterday at the dealership.upon arrival for my appoinment this morning,I was met by the service manager and three techs. About one hour later my cts had on noise or vibration from tail pipes. my engine was as smooth as silk. I was told the drive train was miss a lined causing this. all engine and transmission mounts were loosen,reajusted and retorqued.Now thats what i was told.??? If it fixed the car I will buy it. something was did, it is fixed .

 

Often, that is what is all about .. finding a listening person.
I often resort for "I want to see the supervisor / manager " to get resolution.
Too many biz hire incompetence (cheap labor) .. but .. usually there is always someone that knows the job well - or someone that can get the job done.
