You're wrong. GPS unit needs vehicle speed signal. Otherwise it wouldn't move. Any reinstallation wouldn't help.

Cadillac cts 07 Nav radio non moving map

I don't know if you found your answer but if you hook the vss up that will solve your problem with the map not moving. From the wire harness connected to the instrument cluster. Using a wire tap, add a wire to the existing brown wire in that loom.

Then run the wire to your nav radio. You will need to pickup a reverse VW harness part # VW01RB. with the VW01RB harness remove one of the wire and terminals from the VW01RB connector. With the wire and terminal solder the 2 wires together and tape or heat shrink the connection protecting the radio and instrument cluster from damage.

With the brown connector out of the Navigation Radio you need to add the new wire/terminal to pin 7.

Hope this helps

Hi TJGM, that is really confusing, that description you just gave. Those instructions would be a lot easier to understand with better pictures of this VW Harness. I have no idea what it looks like and what wires you speak of.

From what it sounds like, is that you're removing the Brown Plastic connector from the original wires, replacing it with that Yellow Plastic connector. Putting the Wire from the wire tap to the 7th hole. Then putting all the wires in their original spot, but into the Yellow Connector. So basically replacing the Brown Connector with the Yellow one and putting the wire into the 7th Hole.
WHy can't you just put the wire from the Wire tap into the existing Brown Connector in the 7th hole??
