Default 3.6L or 2.8L

I'm currently looking at getting a 2006 CTS. (Lots of great info on this forum.) I have driven a 2007 cts with the 2.8L and was surprised by the power it had. Unfortuately I have not had the chance to drive a 3.6L. Just wondering if anyone out there has driven both and could give me their input as to which is the best buy. Of course the 2.8L has a more attractive price but is the 3.6 worth the extra bucks?

Also as I leave in Canada how is the CTS in the snow??

Thanks

the 3.6l has 255hp and 250torque while the 2.8 has 210hp and 195torque, also the 3.6 gets the same gas milage as the 2.8l. Heres a website that gives you all the info
