I have a 2010 CTS Performance Collection with 6 speed manual transmission and the 19" summer tire performance package. Since I live in Michigan, I'll be switching tires (summer/winter) twice a year. I plan to do this myself. Since a lot of the suspension components are of aluminum, I want to make sure I use appropriate jacking points. I could use the locations on the body intended for the supplied scissors jack, but would prefer to use a floor jack on a suitable component with a piece of wood between the jack pad and the vehicle.

Anyone with experience or suggestions?
