2005 CTS wouldn't start this morning
My 2005 CTS wouldn't start this morning. It would turn over, but just made a steady noise without the 'trying to start' sort of noise. I could tell it wasn't going to go. So, since I figured I had nothing too much to lose, I pumped the gas a couple times and tried again. This time it gave a little sputter - a little clue that maybe I was on to something.
I pumped it again, held the pedal down, let up - whatever I could do. After several attempts and abou 10 minutes, it spit a few times and started. It smoked a bit at first but otherwise seems to be running fine now. I turned it off and back on a few times and it started right up.
Anything to worry about? Bad gas, fuel filter? Any ideas?
I hate to just ignore it but I don't want to waste a lot of time hunting down a fluke either.
Thanks.

It's Ok Mercedez L., we don't mind seeing your avatar.
Now to the non starting CTS. In my mind it is pointing to fuel delivery problem. Could be as simple as changing the fuel filter or as bad as a failing sending unit. For 20 bucks a filter change is a pretty inexpensive start. I think that's what I would do then monitor the situation.
