I am getting ready to buy an 09 CTS w/the direct injection but am a little woried because I have never heard of it before. Is it reliable? How long has it been around? I assume it injects directly into the cylandar through the block.

 

I have a 3.6 DI. It is what it is....Direct injection into the cylinders under much higher pressure. I'm really happy with mine so far. Plenty of power and really quiet at cruise speed around 80mph. There's plenty of folks on the other forums with over 30000 miles on them with no worries...so go for it! You should be able to work a really nice deal with the way the market currently is!

 

I have the 2008 cts 3.6di awd model and that puppy moves I just hit 3000 miles and it still run like when i got it out of the dealer with 2miles on it. The 3.6 is a very good and it better then the standard 3.6 that they give you.
