Default 03 PCV valve

Where is it and how hard is it to replace?

Near the back of the drivers side valve cover. Right behind the back coil pak (sparkplug). It should have a tube running from it towards the front of the engine, to the air cleaner duct resonator. Should be a piece of cake. Take off the oil filler cap and plastic engine cover first. I'm looking at an 05 service manual but I can't imagine an 03 would be much different. Good luck!

The 2003 has a different engine. from what i saw at the dealership it is somewhere near the rear of the plenum or on the passengers side.

You are correct, it is on the passenger side. But it is in the "camshaft cover" not the valve cover as I'm so used to calling it. 2.8 and 3.6 engines show it in the same place. Does an 03 have a different engine than either of those?
