06 DTS with a strange knock like someone is tapping on the back door window. We were stopped at a light and tap tap tap tap . We turned around to see who was there and no one. We have heard this lots and lots of times at all cir***stances and wondered what it was. I have been through the trunk and under the back seat with a fine tooth comb and nothing. Go figure.

 

Hey, maybe one of the shock bolts are loose and when the car ideals you hear a knock.. Did you check the rear end maybe something is loose there.

 

i got two questions ...

1. do you believe in ghosts
2. what the car ever used by a mob guy?

The last time it did it we were sitting at a light, dead stopped, but it can happen at any time. For all the world it sounds just like someone is tapping on the rear window. It can happen driving straight, or turning also. We haven't had it happen at high speed yet. When we were stopped we were sure someone was tapping on the back driver side window, but alas no one was any where around.

 

grab the tailpipe and shake it around, report back.

I will try that but after the poring rain stops. We are in Mesa AZ. and when it rains here,it RAINS .
