I'm currently doing a refurb on my 1968 Couple DeVille interior. Getting ready to replace the headliner. I have all the manuals and pictures, but I cannot find any discussion on the technique to remove the interior garnish molding along the sides, directly above the side windows. I know there are molding retaining clips, but since I'm not sure of the best way, I don't want to attempt a removal and result in broken parts.

Can anyone give a description or reference to the method?
