My 90 Allante has a tachometer that won't control itself. It flickers on and off, gives crazy readings, and sometimes works fine. All the other gauges are OK.
I don't know where to start to look but I'm quessing somewhere at the distributer. Any ideas?

 

To me an erratic output (reading) would be indicative of a intermittent short or a loose connection. It could even be a bad battery/battery connection. I doubt that it is the distributor.
