Default 1990 Cadillac Allante with broken tail light

Good morning, I have experienced a small rear end accident on my 1990 Allante breaking the drivers side rear light. Checking around I have come across used replacement at $750.00 which seems expensive.
Can anyone advise a sopplier/source etc...??
Thanks

sounds like you got a price from some outfit in San Diego?

is your car a 1990 or a 1990-1/2 ? it makes a big difference.
how many light sockets does your tail light have?
what color are the stripes? they come in several colors.
how badly is yours damaged? send me a picture

..

Thanks for your advise/help etc... my Allante is in a repair shop and I will get it back tomorrow with a broken drivers tail light.
Fortunantly damage was very light but trying to track down a reasonably priced tail light looks tough.
Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing on the Allante is reasonably priced. You can try Allantesource out of Florida. Dick is great.

Did you find a light? If so, please share with us from whom, and at what price. The cheapest I have seen is $250!

$250 may be a good price for the passenger side OK condition, but the driver side is much more difficult to get .. or is it the other way around?

also, there are three types, all different PLUS they come in different colors (stripes).

I left it to my garage to find one and they charged me $375 for a drivers side

My old 1990 tailight with red stripes top and bottom is quite serviceable although it does show some small spider cracks but it is waterproof.
If you have a real smashed tail light this would would get you back legally.

Mine is a '92. They are fine with the exception of the Allante sript on the passenger side light. The left leg of the "A", for lack of a better term, is broken off. Certainly not worth $250-$375 to me to fix!

FYI to all owners .. the script is glued atop of the lens and they do not do well in a automatic car wash as the mops catch and break them off.
