Default Cts Brake Problem

I have a 2003 Cadillac Cts and the problem Im having is every once and a while when I go to push my brake it seams like it pushes back at me and it makes a grinding sound. I have a double din Eclipse in my car so I cant read if a message comes up. I took it to a local dealer and they told me they think its the ABS wiring harness and they recomended I change them. And the cost would be $230 Installed. Is this the problem and is this a bad price?

Default RE: Cts Brake Problem

Before you replace anything, look for corrosion of the pins in the connectors. Do the pads look good? and you arent pressing on the pedal hard? What does the brake fluid look like also?

The Growling sound is the ABS module valves opening and closing to prevent wheel lockup.
