Default BRAKE DRUM

Hi

I got a 93 cadillac fleetwood brougham and I had took the brake drum off to see something but it usually slide right back on but I guess since I push my brake while it was off it wont go back on.

what can I do to put my brake drum back on please?

Assuming the shoes didn't fall off the wheel cylinder at both ends, just press very hard on both shoes inward toward the wheel cylinder at once. That should collapse the piston in the wheel cyl. moving the brake shoes in further making the assembly a smaller diameter. AND DONT DO THAT AGAIN!!!

One side of the wheel cylender is no going in, I tryed pushing thepiston in with a screw driver and I saw some fluid flew out

can I get some more help please?

why did you press the pedal? you dont have to answer that ...

at any case, open the bleeder valve and try again with the valve open.
the valve being open will allow you to push the components back in.
avoid a mess by putting a tube on the tip of the valve going into a bucket or coffee can.

make sure you flush the whole system when all is ready.

I got it nowone of my break shoes wasn,t sitting right. I had to push it down to even it up with the other one, then my drum went on

again thanks for the reply about the brake cylender I really appreciate it because your reply thought me some more about brake drums
