Default 1964 429 hole in the block

Hey folks. I was tearing down there engine in my 64 to check the internals after noticing some lifter noise and found some issues. The hole in the block is my big concern along with why the lifter and pushrod decided to play twister. Any advice.? Is the block scrap.? Thanks.

Five and a half years later...

Hard to say what happened to the lifter and pushrod. Lifter collapsed, pushrod fell out of position? Valve stuck in the guide, pushrod fell out of position, lifter damaged in the process?

But I'm not concerned about the block at all. That's not so much a "hole" as a cast-in opening.
