trans wont shift out of 1st

Default trans wont shift out of 1st

i have a 95 seville sls trans seems smooth but never shifts from 1st just the faster you drive the higher the rpms get but no slipping.i drove the car on the highway never noticed any problems. i had a stud and tire changed after being on the lifts i started noticing the problem.what could be wrong

Start with checking fluid level.

i dont believe its the fluid level i had checked it. could the speed sensor cause this problem or is this maybe inside the tranny

it has to be issuing codes .. we need that.

thanks for your patience with me im thankful for all replies and help.will these codes pop up on the dashboard because i havent noticed any. the check engine light is on. i need a water pump. check fluid level light comes on but i dont see any other codes.


(i am not currently driving the car)

Codes will come up using "Onboard Diagnostics" see faq section. Likely cause broken shift solenoid(s)
