noisy lifter

Default noisy lifter

2000 STS 48,000 miles.

One lifter has started making a slight noise, what is the best cure?

the BEST cure is always to replace the problem parts.

are you for sure its a lifter and possibly not something else. For only 48k i wouldnt think that would happen. find out if the sound goes away, or if it happens only at start up, etc. Try to give us some more details if possible. I some times get a tick and it goes away after its warmed up. since my driveway is slightly sloped its the only time it does it. Or possibly post a youtube video lol so we could hear it. Let us know what you come up with.
