I have an 85 Biarritz with the HT4100.I love the ride,but I live in a mountainous area and it lacks power on the hills.I'm interested in the custom upgrade engine from remanufactured.com.,a 4.1 to 4.5.Has anyone out there ever done this swap?If so are you satisfied with the performance?Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

 

Unfortunately, 4100 is the only non sideways engine, 4.5,4.9 and PFI never, meant for your car. Converting to larger carburated engine is possible, you will want a Toronado or Rivera for parts cars. Custom aluminum push rod v8 can be built but it wont be inexpensive.

The have a 4.1 to 4.5 upgrade,custom built by this company that is made specifically for my ride.They claim a 15 to 20% power increase with this swap.I'd like to find someone who has done this or someone who has used services from Remanufactured.com
